Training for Therapists

If there were something you could do to improve the safety and well-being of your clients who live in fat bodies, would you make the effort?

“What if there’s nothing wrong with my body?” Anti-fatness 101

In this workshop, I invite participants to explore the roots of anti-fatness, question their assumptions about health, and examine the pervasive, traumatic impact of anti-fatness on fat people.

Enroll in this 3-hour online course here! Offered on-demand for your convenience, participants will receive 3 CEUs upon completion (LCPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, nurses and clinical psychologists are eligible). This course satisfies the requirements for Cultural Competency & Implicit Bias continuing education credits.

Testimonials

“Sarah is an absolutely amazing trainer and presenter. She presents complex material in an engaging, human way, and has a way of creating and maintaining the safety required to tackle these challenging and nuanced topics. After attending her presentation on Anti-Fatness 101 myself, I realized how essential this training was and brought it to my clinic so that she could provide this training to the majority of my clinical staff; and it has been one of the most highly regarded training events we have had all year. Training on anti-fatness and fat liberation should be a foundational part of every clinician and/or medical provider’s training - and I feel very grateful to have Sarah’s training and expertise available to inform and guide this necessary and important work.”

-Katie Lenahan, LCPC, Executive Director, The Depression and Anxiety Specialty Clinic of Chicago

“Sarah Landolfi is a gifted therapist, trainer and consultant.  At CCIH, we have had the honor of partnering with her over the last several years.  She is generous and thoughtful in bringing both her personal experience and clinical expertise to her work on challenging anti-fat bias and raising our awareness of the traumatic impact of anti-fat oppression on our fat clients.  I believe her work is important for all therapists—particularly for those who identify as having a trauma-informed approach. We look forward to continuing our work with her and strongly recommend her to other group practices and mental health agencies!”

-Amy Zajakowski-Uhll, LCPC, Director, Chicago Center for Integration & Healing

"Sarah was wonderful and she really helped to create a safe environment for vulnerable and honest discussion all with the clear intended purpose of healing ourselves and our clients and our society. "

-Glenn D., LCSW

"Honestly it was the best training I've been to in a long time. The environment felt very open to learning for people who were brand-new to the concepts as well as people who were quite familiar with concepts but wanting to expand. I also really appreciated the intersectional lens."

--Betsy I., LCSW

"Sarah was simply fantastic - incredibly knowledgeable, very real, and a wonderfully engaging presenter."
